In this episode, Dr. Graham Taylor speaks with Dr. Ann Callahan, LCSW about how we can use human spirituality to enhance our relationships with clients in ways that will increase their quality of life. Dr. Callahan shares her experience working in hospice and palliative care and ways to incorporate this perspective into a client’s assessment, ways to engage in nursing homes, expressions of spirituality, dignity and respect, and the importance of personhood. Spirituality can add to the liveliness of an environment as a strength and the wholeness of that environment. Connecting with people is the vehicle through which we help.
